How Snappr got started

Snappr was started in 2017 when founder and CEO Matt Schiller brought home professional photos taken for his graduation from med school. Matt's mother loved the photos so much that Matt was inspired to start Snappr to share the joy of professional photography with the world. That photo is still sitting proudly in his family's living room.

Fast forward 4 years later and Snappr is now the biggest network of professional photographers in the world. Helping connect individuals, families, and businesses with local professional photographers in their city.

How does Snappr work, is Snappr legit?

As a new startup, not many people have heard of us - but we're working hard to change that! Snappr works by selecting professional photographers in your area and inviting them to join Snappr's platform. Instead of searching and calling photographers individually, customers can use Snappr to find a time that works for them and we find specialists that are available at the time you want and fits your needs.

When you book with Snappr we send the photographer your booking details and share contact information with both sides (you and the photographer). The photographer will arrive at your desired location ready to go and you will receive photos in your Snappr account after the shoot is finished. Simple, straight forward, and easy!

What happens if a photographer does not show up?

It's our mission to make it safer and easier to hire a professional photographer. There are lots of scammers out there but when you book with Snappr your booking is safe and covered by Snappr's insurance. If you don't get your photos for reasons that is not your fault, Snappr will cover the cost of the shoot and refund you your payment.

Who do I call if something unexpected happens or I need to change my shoot?

When you book a photoshoot on Snappr you are working with the photographer directly and we always recommend contacting the photographer first. Snappr connects customers with professional photographers but each photographer is an independent freelancer and is not a Snappr employee. That is why it is always best to call the photographer directly if you have anything come up that might affect your shoot.

In situations where you cannot contact your photographer, Snappr customer support has your back and you can contact Snappr support at 844-3-SNAPPR and we will happily help however we can.

Do photographers get my feedback after a photoshoot?

Yes, absolutely! Snappr sends a survey after every photoshoot asking about the experience and quality of the photos. Photographers receive customer feedback right away and we use your feedback to ensure photographers are always delivering a 5-star experience. If a photographer receives a low score we contact the photographer to figure out what went wrong and in worst-case-scenarios we remove photographers from Snappr's platform when they are not able to deliver a professional experience.

Is my information safe with Snappr?

Snappr is the safest and most secure way to book a photographer. Your data and photos are securely stored in your account and we don't share your photos with anyone. And unlike with other companies, or working with photographers directly, you retain all rights to your photos and Snappr will never share or give your photos to anyone else. Snappr also uses the biggest payment processing companies to protect your payment information so you can rest assured that your information is safe and protected.

How does Snappr select photographers?

All photographers that want to join Snappr's platform must go through a strict interview and vetting process. We call or video chat every photographer to get to know them and to make sure their personality is a good fit to be a Snappr photographer. Photographers are also required to submit a portfolio of their work and their skills must meet Snappr standards. New photographers are also peer reviewed by existing Snappr photographers as the final check before they can join, Only experienced professionals are allowed onto Snappr's platform and only about 5% of photographer applications are accepted and make it onto the platform. Not just anyone with a camera and a website can become a Snappr photographer!
