I started photography at the age of 17 when I started using my father's old folding camera. Shortly afterward I was able to buy a Russian Zenit copy of the famous German Exacta 35mm camera, and taught myself how to develop and print in the darkroom. Many years later I was able to buy a Mamiya c330 professional outfit and shoot a few weddings. Around the same time, working as a teacher, I set up a photography course in my school, building a darkroom in the back of one of the (very large) classrooms.
Shooting for business is a problem solving activity, and I love problem solving. Working out how best to showcase a product or business requires a lot of work, a lot of planning, trial and error, and communication with the client to make images that will sell a product or service.
Adelaide has some of the best beaches in the country, always good to shoot at ( except on those rare occasions when the sand is covered with seaweed), and some amazing parks. The Adelaide Hills are full of great locations for shooting at any time of day, but particularly in the evenings.SEE PORTFOLIO & BOOK
