I got started in photography in elementary school when I would “borrow” my mom’s point-and-shoot camera to take photos of interesting clouds and other things around me that I thought were beautiful. I was always photographing people in candid situations, trying to portray real life as it occurred around me. In high school, I took a photography class where I was first introduced to SLR cameras. I later used the knowledge I gained from that simple class to snag a job as an assistant wedding photographer for a friend of a friend, and I haven’t stopped shooting since then!
I love being able to capture moments in time forever. Time moves so quickly, and our memories are fallible, but photos allow us to relive those important moments years, even decades, later. This is even true of portraiture as much as it is true of events; by personalizing portraits, a photographer is able to capture a glimpse of a person’s spirit. I love the challenge of making each portrait session as personal and authentic as possible.
The Dallas-Fort Worth area has so many photographic opportunities that it's hard to narrow it down! I love shooting in Dallas because it's such a versatile and interesting city. Skyline photos have an exciting urban feel, while individual pieces of architecture and giant murals create stunning backdrops, and the list of gorgeous and unique wedding/event venues is almost endless.SEE PORTFOLIO & BOOK
