Candid photography is my jam. I love capturing people and events that feel genuinely alive! My style of photography is more journalistic--I like to photograph people when they aren't aware of the camera and get to be who they truly are. Nat Geo was my inspiration growing up, and I try to apply a similar style to all of my work.

How did you get started with photography

I got started with photography during a trip abroad when I was 20. I only had a small Nikon point-and-shoot, but I felt the urge to document everything I saw and the photos pretty okay. I saw then that there was some talent there that could be honed, so I came home, got my first DSLR and did my best to learn everything I could about my camera and photography. I tried my hand at photographing many different things and events to challenge myself in which I still continue to do to this day nearly ten years later.

What do you love about your job?

I love being able to capture a person's essence in an honest and artistic way. I try to be as comfortable with my subjects to try to evoke emotion and tell a story with my photos.

What are some of your favorite places in Los Angeles to take photographs?

Since I recently moved to Los Angeles, I have been shooting a lot Downtown and in the Arts District.
