I fell into photography 4 years ago as I was published while living abroad in Indonesia. I had 'semi-retired' after selling my ownership in a my family's restaurant.I got my start shooting our menu items and staff there. Including skills sets with staff and clients, styling food and people. I think because of my background in a high traffic/profile resatraunt dealing with dynamic public relations my photography career has had a faster arc than usual. I do come from a creative background and have worked rewriting scripts. New endeavors do not make me nervous and I take it as a personal growth method when I can put new clients or people at ease......the karma helps too

How did you get started with photography

I first began to take photography/graphic design classes in high school as a hobby. I never dreamed it would become my greatest platform in projecting who I am as a person in this world. My photographs, even when shot for others, are a memior of my life. After realizing my profecciency in expressing myself through photography I decided to attend Brooks Institute to further my advancement in the craft.

What do you love about your job?

I love my job because it allows others to see the world as I do. Everyone has a unique perspective on life and what it means to them. Photography allows me to better understand the perspectives of people, places, and things. The relationships to these people, places, and things are quintessential. Photography is the tool I use to express my gratitude, passion, hopes, and inspirations derived from the beauty of people and places I've been blessed to encounter. It grants the exploration of life and opportunity. Jobs don't get much better.

What are some of your favorite places in San Diego to take photographs?

The Ocean Beach Pier is one of my favorite places to photograph in San Diego. It has an array of emotions in it's setting from a solemn overcast boardwalk to a glowing sunset beach view full of life. It's a great place for a variety of beauty.

With its sunny weather and miles of breath-taking coastline, it is no wonder why San Diego is fondly referred to as the America’s Finest City. Combine that with a rich theatre culture and mouth-watering Mexican cuisine, and you have yourself the ultimate destination for your next event. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have a well-framed photo of your office staff set against the backdrop of Hotel Del Coronado, hanging proudly in your boardroom? This would be a great way to not only enhance team spirit but also send a message across to your clients saying, “We are a family.” A great event should always be topped off with a great photo shoot, and San Diego offers a host of picturesque locations. From the numerous museums within Balboa Park to the impressive USS Midway Aircraft Carrier, and even on to Shamu Stadium in SeaWorld, you can never grow short of options. at the very least, do not leave the city before having a photo shoot with the giant pandas at San Diego Zoo. Wherever your event will be, there's a Snappr photographer to capture every memory.
