After graduating from UCLA my path led to the same destination as many young millennials: broke in their parent’s basement. I spent a solid two years of my post-college networking and experiencing life as a young adult in the tech fueled city of San Francisco. While there, I discovered a passion for cinematography, photography and telling a story through my lens. This led to me shooting various events and concerts where I started touring with DJ’s who were on the cusp of becoming household names. Individuals like Skrillex, Calvin Harris and Diplo. From touring with them, my path led to Miami where I created an award-winning documentary titled No Credentials.

It has been 8 years since I picked up the camera and I don't plan on stopping any time soon! I have worked with professionals all over San Diego to learn anything I can from editing to shadowing, setting up studios or second shooting weddings. I also attended college here in San Diego and achieved Professional photography certification. Just when you think you have seen it all, there is always those special teary eye moments that always gets me in a wedding, or the way a little kid smiles, or the joyful tears of brand new parents- when this happens, the emotion reminds me of why I photograph and it keeps me photographing every day.

I fell into photography 4 years ago as I was published while living abroad in Indonesia. I had 'semi-retired' after selling my ownership in a my family's restaurant.I got my start shooting our menu items and staff there. Including skills sets with staff and clients, styling food and people. I think because of my background in a high traffic/profile resatraunt dealing with dynamic public relations my photography career has had a faster arc than usual. I do come from a creative background and have worked rewriting scripts. New endeavors do not make me nervous and I take it as a personal growth method when I can put new clients or people at ease......the karma helps too

I am a freelance photographer from San Diego California. I am originally from Oregon where I learned and crafted my artform. I am a graduate of the University of Oregon and Lane Community College where i studied and learned about lighting, composition and development. after the age of digital cameras, I took my passion and skills to the new medium learning from local photographer friends how to master the new cameras. I have continued my to pursue more knowledge and education about digital art photography in the past ten years by taking online courses and doing study groups with local photography groups.I have been shooing pinup models, classic cars, hot rods, families, weddings, newborn, maternity, engagement, head shot, product, digital art, venue, live music, live performances, and more.

How did you get started with photography?

My interest in photography began in High School, discovered that it was the best thing ever happened to me. In college, I focused in learning and practicing until I made my friends and family sick of me shooting them. Since then, I've studied in college and worked with professionals in San Diego.

What type of shoots do you enjoy doing the most?

My favorite type are proposals, engagements, and weddings. Not only this but I love when they come back to me and also want me to document their newest family addition or even the news via a photograph..

What are some of your favorite places in San Diego to take photographs?

My favorite places are classic Balboa Park, San Diego beaches, and even some urban downtown shots are always fun as well... if you have a meaningful place lets go there too!
