How did you get started with photography?

I got started 3 years ago when I bought my first DSLR to get decent photos during crossfit competitions, when I wasn't in competition I started taking photos of my fellow gym members and it grew in to landscapes then portraits. 3 years late I have a better camera and gear and still love to shoot anything that I can.

What type of shoots do you enjoy doing the most?

I love shooting action/ sports photography, in the chaos of all that is going on in the game or match you freeze time in the perfect second and you get to honor that moment knowing you were doing something that you love.

What are some of your favorite places in San Francisco to take photographs?

You can make the best out of any location with the right lighting

How did you get started with photography?

I came to photography from painting, taking photos to help make paintings. Ultimately, I came to see the wider possibilities of photography in the more accurate capture of a particular moment and an expanded outward vision. The laborious processes of film photography never appealed to me so I largely bypassed aspect of photography. However, when the first digital cameras came out I found my graphic design background had given me the tools and skills to make the most of the new medium.

What type of shoots do you enjoy doing the most?

I enjoy wedding and engagement shoots and trying to capture the beauty and love of that special moment - it is always a privilege to attend this continuing wedding party. I enjoy the challenge of chasing and capturing those special moments in human events, whether a celebration, or performance or a procession.

What are some of your favorite places in San Francisco to take photographs?

San Francisco City Hall is one of my favorite place to shoot - light is always beautiful, the stonework is beautiful and even when crowded there is always somewhere to shoot. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Point can be amazing - but is weather dependent. The Palace of Fine Arts has plenty of elegant stonework for backgrounds and can work even in poor weather.
