What is Snappr?

At Snappr, we believe that high-quality photos shouldn’t be high-cost. We match you with one of our pre-vetted professional photographers so all you’ll have to do is pick a time, day and place. Our photographer will travel to your location with all the necessary equipment including cameras and lighting gear. After the shoot is done, simply view and download your photos from your personal online gallery.

What regions do you service?

In USA: San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles, San Diego, Portland and Seattle. In Australia: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, Newcastle, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Geelong.

What kinds of photos can I have taken?

We do all kinds of photography! This includes baby, commercial, dating, engagement, event, family, fashion, food, graduation, maternity, media, party, pet, product, profile, real estate, travel, sport, wedding, etc. If you have something specific you’d like to discuss please don’t hesitate to contact us, we will do our best to cater to your requirements:

Where is your studio?

Snappr does not have physical studios, our photographers travel to you! You can decide on any suitable location (home, office, park, tourist attraction, etc) depending on your needs and the photographer can help you find good shoot spots within your chosen location. If you need additional equipment (studio lights, backdrops, etc) please specify this in your booking form so that we can match you with a photographer who has the appropriate equipment for your needs.

Who owns the copyright?

You own full copyright for the images you have purchased from your gallery, or all the images if you have purchased an all-inclusive shoot. This means you can use, reproduce and publish your photos however you like, including for commercial purposes. You can view our full terms here:

Are your photographers insured?

In Australia only, all Snappr shoots are fully insured including $10 million cover for public liability and $5 million cover for professional indemnity. You can view more information here:

How many photos do I get?

The number of photos you get varies depending on which product you choose. We have low-fee shoots which come with a limited number of photos (additional high resolution photos cost $10 each) as well as all-inclusive shoots which come with all photos included. Will my photos be edited?

All Snappr bookings come included with standard photographic editing to ensure that your photos look amazing! This involves calibrating the colour temperature, exposure, sharpness, contrast, as well as cropping and adjusting other parameters. Snappr does not offer retouching services (removing blemishes, removing objects, etc).

How long should I book for?

What happens after I book?

Your photographer will contact you to confirm your details and discuss your requirements. On the day itself your photographer will turn up with their gear for the duration of your booking, please contact us for any extensions. You will receive your photos in your private online gallery within 3 days after the shoot, where you’ll be able to download digitals and order prints (Australia only).

When do I pay?

We require full payment upfront in order to lock in your photographer and booking slot. If you’ve received an invoice for a booking made over the phone, email or chat, please note that your slot will only be held for 1 hour and may be assigned to other customers if no payment is received within the allocated time.

How do I pay?

For USA: credit card or Paypal. For Australia: credit card or bank transfer (EFT). If you’re paying via EFT, we will only be able to confirm your booking if you send remittance advice to

Can I book for a photoshoot for tomorrow?

Yes, you can book up to 12 hours in advance (subject to availability). We may also be able to get you a photographer on the same day, just contact us:

Special requests

Can I choose the photographer?

Yes you can! Just fill in your details in the booking form and our matching algorithm will show you the best photographers to choose from.

If I have special requirements, can I check the photographer’s portfolio before booking?

All of our photographers are pre-vetted in a multi-stage evaluation process. We assess the photographers portfolio, past work experience and their equipment, followed by a video interview. We can assist you in reviewing portfolios and match you with the most appropriate photographer, please contact us with your requirements and let us take care of you:

What if I want to have photos taken in multiple locations?

You’re welcome to decide how you’d like to spend the time allocated to you. The photographer can follow you around and shoot at multiple locations provided they are within walking distance (nearby park, coffee shop next door, etc). Please bear in mind that it takes some time for the photographer to set up at each new location. Certain situations may require placing separate bookings for each location, please contact us to discuss your shoot so we can advise you on the most cost-effective option:

Do you offer video services?

Unfortunately we do not currently offer videography services.

Changing a booking

How do I cancel my booking?

Unfortunately we do not offer refunds for cancellations. However, you can reschedule your booking or pass it to a friend.

Can I reschedule my booking?

The timing or location of a shoot can be changed, provided that more than 24 hours notice is given. A $20 change fee will apply. Reschedules and relocations are not possible within 24 hours prior to the shoot. To reschedule, please contact Snappr:

Can I upgrade my package?

Sure can! Before the shoot takes place, you can upgrade the package from your dashboard or by contacting us and paying the difference. After the shoot, you can upgrade by contacting us and paying the difference plus a small premium:

Can I extend my shoot?

Yes, provided the photographer is available to keep shooting. To do this, you need to send written confirmation to Snappr either by email, sms or live chat letting us know that you consent to the extension. You will be invoiced for the extra amount of time.

After making a booking

I have just booked, what happens now?

Your booking is now locked in! Your photographer will be in touch with you to discuss your shoot.

If you have not heard from your photographer or would like to discuss with them earlier, please let us know and we will put you in touch with them:

After the shoot

When will I get my photos?

You will receive an email with a link to your personal online gallery within 3 days after the shoot. If you have not received it or would like it sent to a different email address instead, please contact us:

Why should I be a Snappr photographer?

Shoot with Snappr and you can earn great money as an independant contractor! You will get paid fortnightly while being your own boss and working on your own schedule. Forget about dealing with leads, as we will do the heavy lifting to find work for you. And have no fear! All Australian Snappr bookings are covered by our extensive insurance program:

I'm a photographer in Australia and I don’t have an ABN, can I apply?

Unfortunately not, you will require an ABN to be a Snappr photographer in Australia. You can find out more on how to obtain an ABN here:

I live outside your service region, can I apply?

Yes you can, but you must be willing to travel to work in our service region.
