Adrian has always been inclined to media. When he moved to NYC in 2012 he realized the necesity to improve his photography skills to capture some of the madness and greatness of the city. Hundreds of manuals, research, and tutorials later, he continues to improve his skills as he jumps into new challenges and keeps experimenting. His work includes street, lifestyle, art and real estate photography.
I love to tell stories and help people tell their own. That's why I love street and documentary photography. It's capturing a piece of the moment. I often tell myself "you are taking a picture not for today but for 30 years from now". Even in real estate photography, where one would think there's not much story to tell, my architectural background helps appreciate all the details of what goes into a space, which by itself sets the tone of the environment.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
My first paid gigs were in portraiture and lifestyle. I noticed the people I was working with were not comfortable on camera, so I would just talk to them and walk around the city until they forgot we where actually shooting. I liked to asked to pose and then to move about 10ft to a different spot and the picture their walk to the second location. They were more comfortable when not thinking of 'posing'
