Alejandro Leon is a photographer specialized in interiors, architecture and real estate. His professional career started with the startup Spotahome: I started as a freelance photographer and within two years I photographed nearly 1000 listings (apartments) and became an in-house member of the team, being responsible for the quality of the listings, recruiting freelance photographers all over Europe and giving them trainings.
Alongside, I worked on different projects for 500px and Trivago photographing hotels in Madrid, and also for different architectural and interior design studios.
In 2018, I moved to New York City to study a postgraduate on Cinematography at the New York Film Academy with a Talentia scholarship, funded by the Andalusian Government.
I currently continue my career as a photographer and filmmaker in New York City.
I love the feeling of it, whether if it's working for a client or if it's just for fun and walking around the city and getting lost with your camera. Capturing a moment in time, freeze it, edit it (I love the editing part as much as taking the photo) and being able to go back to that moment any time you want.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I make them special playing with the lights. I love taking different photos of the same shot, mixing natural and artificial light, and combining them together to get the best out of them in one single image.
