My name is Bethany Kirchoff I have just graduated with my Bachelor of Science from Hyles Anderson College with a major in Media. For the past four years I have studied and worked with photography, video, graphic design, web design, and animation. Photography is what I enjoy the most. There are so many things we forget to take a picture of and then that moment is gone and you have no picture to remind you even more of what happened that day. I specialize in events, banquets, sports, weddings, senior, maturity, and engagement sessions.
I love taking photographs because of how much a photo means to someone. You take wedding photos then show them to the Groom and Bride after they are processed and their faces speak of so much thanks and love for the photos. I also love that I get to go so many different places that a normal person wouldn't and I get to meet so many new people just by being there and capturing a event. I do look back at the shoots and reflect how I can get better. Photography is not something you master. I am always working on improving what I do.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Family photoshoots I shoot need extra help with younger children. Having the parents bring prop for the little ones to hold or just get a extra smile out of when taking pictures. Bringing treats for them and just having fun. Photoshoots are meant to be fun and a good memory .
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
Shenandoah Valley Battlefield Foundation has let me be their photographer for 2018 and 2019 of the last two years. I was the leading photographer at Hyles Anderson College among the students for the college.
A fun fact about this photographer
I am always looking around when someone in my family or friend wants to take a picture and I move us all to a better area for the picture because lighting matters a lot!
