More about Carl D....

What do you love about your job?

I love being able to meet so many new people and make them happy. I love seeing them smiling in my photographs and I can't help but smile back at them, even when I am editing them. I love to exceed my client's expectations by using a skill that I have fine tuned over many years.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I try to make all my shoots special. I love to talk and listen while I work. Finding out interesting facts or swapping stories is a great way to make new friends. So whether it’s a technical product shot, a work group portrait or a formal event, I try to relax everyone and get them to enjoy the experience as much as I do.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

No awards, just many, many happy and repeat clients :) Oh and I guess I bought my house and car with the proceeds.

A fun fact about this photographer

Against the direct instructions of my guide I ended up getting lost in the vast and sprawling medina in Fez, Morocco. I was with another member of our group and we were discussing how we would now live here, what work we might do and even looking around for possible accommodation. We were looking forward to our ‘new lives’ when our guide popped out of an alley and herded us back into the group. Missed opportunity?
