Chaszmeque Rachel has been a pro photographer for about two years. He started with on-location, natural light portraits but once he became more proficient with shaping the light to fit what was needed he transitioned to using OCF (primarily speed lights w/modifiers) as a way to create studio-style lighting wherever he was shooting. He did this until he was able to remain consistent in the quality of the images I created. He has since moved to the studio and has developed his understanding of light even further. He has added more equipment to his repertoire that he uses to assist himself in creating the images that are needed for the creative session.

Chaszmeque has received his training from a wide array of sources including but not limited to Youtube, veteran photographers, and UCF. He is continually increasing his knowledge and understanding daily through reading books, video teachings, and on the site training with other photographers and visual artists.

My passion for photography has continued to grow over time with each time I pick up my camera (DSLR or phone). It has allowed me to see life in a new way and to appreciate the beauty and realness in everything.

More about Chaszmeque R....

What do you love about your job?

When I'm asked why I decided to take pictures, there seems to be an infinite number of reasons that come to mind. And it seems each time I'm able to capture an image, the number increases by at least one more reason. Sometimes life is beautiful and photography can capture that beauty, because, with all beauty, time deteriorates the beautiful things in life, like humans, animals, and even nature. As a photographer, I have been able to encapsulate that beauty and keep it eternal. Photos freeze moments along with beauty in time to cherish forever and I've learned that while my camera captures the beauty it also softens the ugly.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I've done many forms of shoots from pet sessions to boudoir sessions. I would like to like to try more weddings this upcoming year. With each session, I try to tailor my efforts to create something unique and different. I studied some of the best shots I can find in that area of photography and I used that collection of photos as a vision board of sorts to create the new image.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I have been published in a magazine (ZO Magazine)

A fun fact about this photographer

I'm currently attending the University of Central Florida and studying to enter into Medical School so that I may one day become a traveling heart surgeon. I also work as an MD (Music Director) for multiple bands and churches
