Christopher's journey into the world of photography began at a very early age. From as early as 11 years old he received his first real camera and began taking landscape photos of the Catskill Mountains, roadside streams, and waterfalls during weekend road trips with family. During his teen years Christopher's photography took on a more rebellious role in his life, capturing touring punk rock and hardcore bands waging anti-political war among the sweat-covered teen angst of dusty basements and small clubs. Foot-action sports photography like skateboarding, snowboarding, and surfing also occupied much of his later teen years.
Christopher spent 8 years traveling the globe as a soldier in the United States Army and his cameras were along for many of those rides. He has captured the essence of life of the workers in the rice paddy fields, the street vendors, and the sultry night life of South Korea. He has taken photos of an erupting volcano off the coast of Japan, crashing beautiful Caribbean waves of Apple Bay, Tortola, and the beautiful snow and ice covered mountains of Siberia and Alaska.
These days Chris does everything from real estate and event photography to product images, food photography, portraits, and more.
Photography has a meaning to me that words almost cannot express. Every photo has an underlying story and emotion. That story and emotion varies with every viewer. I absolutely love the reactions and expressions on the faces of clients when I reveal a finished project to them. You can almost see the story behind those photos developing in their eyes and minds, and THAT is the satisfaction I receive.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done landscapes, real estate, drone, portraits, pets, lifestyle, food, medical, automotive, fashion, I have truly done it all. I always like to add a special unplanned touch to photos when I shoot them. For example I just did a pet photo shoot where the focus was just on the pet. Halfway through the shoot I told the owner to jump in and play and interact with her pup. The photos really captured the bond between the two and the owner was blown away by the final images.
