More about Colin B....

What do you love about your job?

I love capturing moments that people want to remember. When I was a photo pass photographer I would always love taking candid photos more than the posed ones. I always saw it through the view point of my family experience, we have scrapbooks full of posed photos in front of things, and yes those are important, but they just sit around and collect dust most of the time. The candids of kids interacting with the characters or just having fun and being kids, those are the photos parents are going to want to look at 5-10 years down the road.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

While in college I was doing a new heavily themed shoot every week for class. All portrait work, but each with a definite theme and lighting style we had to use. For the final project we had to use all the lighting styles we had learned through the semester and create a single overarching theme between each photo. I chose Star Wars and worked with two male actors from the theater department to showcase the light and dark side as well as a panorama style photo that told the story of Qui-Got Jinn's death in episode 1.
