He is a self-taught photographer with no classroom/formal training. He has been taking pictures seriously for about three years now. He started out as a street photographer in Los Angeles and still carries those influences today. He has experience photographing for professional sports leagues, big marathons, large city-wide events, concerts, parties and in collaboration with modeling agencies. His passion for photography continues to grow as his creative process matures and other photography opportunities open. He enjoys keeping his photography modern and is aware of popular trends.
I love that each picture is going to be different. No two are the same. Each assignment, each shoot will be different than the next; each with its own creative process and influenced by that moment's feelings. I love that photography is never complete. There is always room to grow.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have worked live sporting events on many occasions, focusing on the true excitement of competition from the athlete and fan perspective. I have also covered large events/festivals from an on-the-ground candid perspective, including the State Fair of Texas, where I look for the joy and happiness of having fun. I have photographed live music and outdoor parties for big bars/restaurants where it's important to portray energy. And when I shoot with models I like to keep it relaxed and organic so they feel comfortable in front of the camera. This allows trust and ultimately better pictures.
