Curt Pulleyblank is an architectural, portrait, and still-life photographer from the Metro-Detroit area currently based in Baltimore, MD. With exceptional attention to detail, Curt brings his unique vision for composition with him to both in studio and on location environments.
I love that I have found a job that satisfies both my creative and technical itch. As a photographer, I feel that there is a certain amount of DIY or engineering that goes along with a photoshoot - and I really enjoy problem solving. Often times this aspect draws me into the photoshoot more, and I end up with a finished product that is better than my initial creative vision.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
While I work with many different types of shoots, one of the most important things I bring with me client communication. My two goals going into any shoot is 1) how can I make the client feel as involved as possible and 2) how can I over deliver to the client. The phrase "everyone is a photographer" holds a lot of truth right now, but I want to really distinguish myself as being a professional. This might mean offering additional looks/images that I think the client might find beneficial, or offering some free retouching in the future.
