More about Daniel C....

What do you love about your job?

I love hearing feedback about how I captured a moment so well that it brought that person back to that day. I love that photography comes really nature to me. It's a skill I can always rely on. Being able to experiment with lighting techniques, lenses and all the gear really brings out inner scientist and artist in me. I'm never bored with it. It's so much fun to me.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I've shot everything from weddings, fashion, products, landscape, music festivals, government campaigns, real estate and aerial photography.

I think that when it comes to my photography with people as my subject, whether it's a private function, concert, wedding/engagement party or a corporate event, I'm able to make them feel comfortable with the process and having me around their space allowing them to be themselves.

I have to say I have a pretty positive attitude and that definitely helps getting through something that might be a little bit uncomfortable for someone. I get heaps of repeat clientele and work through word of mouth because of the good vibes.

With food, products and still objects, I try my best to represent my clients business. Sometimes I use gel light's to match the company's colors, props that are in the same theme that can work well with their business and help tie the concept together.

With food photography I really enjoy stylizing and spreading some of the ingredients of the dish into the composition. I also love taking live action shots of the chefs cooking. This makes people feel like they're part of the experience. Sometimes I have the food and or cocktail menus in the shot even if it's upside down or not completely visible to the viewer. With this customers are able to get a glimpse of what else is on the menu.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

My photography has been featured in many newspapers and magazines throughout Australia. I was invited to hold my own exhibition for my landscape photography 2 years in a row. Selling out every piece of my work each time. Those are the moments that make you feel like you're built for this.

A fun fact about this photographer

I'm a bit of a health freak. Apart from my passion for photography and media, I love teaching people about fitness, meditation and health in general.
