Gavin Keats has been a passionate photographer for 20 years, professionally trained with a diploma and a body of work so diverse, you know you are in good hands. An early adopter of digital cameras, experienced with Medium Format as well as DSLR. Gavin is always looking to get the technical aspect of the photography correct whilst maintaining a casual approach and ensuring the customer gets more than they were expecting.
Many clients do not even realise the benefits of a world class photographer and it is clear that experience makes the difference! Being a true professional sets the standard and the evidence proves it when you really compare the photographs
I absolutely love creating beautiful photographs, giving people more than they expect. Thats one of the marks of a true professional. I don't take hundreds of photographs or would you believe thousands as some do (hoping to get some good ones).
Having the specialist training and years upon years of experience, I know that I can get the shot you want no matter the conditions.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Many charity shoots for underprivileged people, making them feel special. Learning how to bring out unique characteristics always helps.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I was a finalist in the Hasselblad Masters quite a number of years ago. Being selected as the only photographer in Australia to cover Sophia Loren was a huge honour. However as for awards, I just don't apply for them. I let my work speak for itself.
A fun fact about this photographer
I can remember car number plates from 40 years ago and phone numbers when they were only 5 digits
