Grace Spencer is a young professional. She went to the School of Visual Arts for her BFA in Photo and Video. Her main focus is on portrait work. She loves to help developing companies spread their message through first hand experiences and documentation.
I love people. I get to connect with people in a new way when I take their photos. I don't have to speak their language (but I do know how to say "Can I take your photo please" in 7 different languages) and I get to know their face. The lines on a face, to me, tell more than a conversation most of the time.
I get to work with a lot of kids both local and around the world. Kids have this amazement in their eyes when they get to see themselves on the camera. I love being able to work with even the most shy kids and have them open up in front of the lens.
Spencer’s work was apart of the Raw 2018 (AC), SVA Mentor Show (NYC), Personal Problems and Underlying Things (NYC), Catalysts in Morning Dew (NYC), Draft (Rochester), Becoming Shades (NYC), and BETSY!’s Photo Exhibit (NYC) and published in Photographer’s Forum, Visual Opinion, The Peach Diaries, and her books The Saved Ones and Beautiful Catastrophe. Her client list includes Mission TwentyFive35,Remember Nhu, Princeton Alliance Church, and Shiseido. She also is the recipient of the Lou Draper Award and the Chairman’s Merit Scholarship.
I play 6 instruments and I'm classically trained in voice.
