I'm a self taught photographer, never went to University and got any qualifications. I just picked up a camera in high school and played around with it, googled a few things here, and a watched a few YouTube videos there, now here we are!

More about Jacob H....

What do you love about your job?

I love working with a variety of people! Photography is great because you meet so many different people. Some are confident on camera, others are more shy. Different moods help shape different stories. I love making smile, seeing their faces and reactions after a shoot when I send them the final products is always the best part. It means I've done my job right and I feel even more accomplished. It makes me love what I do even more.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

Family portraits are always a joy to do - especially with young kids. I'd like to think they don't find me scary and in my experience I've always managed to keep them under control by making them laugh and getting cheeky lil grins on their faces - SO CUTE. In my real estate photography - a bit different - I made myself stand out from the competitors for the job by offering up my photoshop skills. These houses are built and photographed inside a warehouse before being transported to the dedicated land. I shoot the interior then photoshop and exterior through the windows for a more lifelike realistic look that none of the other photographers could offer.

A fun fact about this photographer

I have two double jointed pinkies. I used to pretend it was a magic trick that I could "bend" them - even though they're fixed in a slightly bent position - and nearly made someone faint ... oopsie, lol.
