Jimmy is an experienced photographer/videographer.

Since he was little, he always imagined himself with a camera making movies like Spielberg. While other kids were riding bikes, Jimmy was playing cinematographer for the next Rambo film.

He started his career in sports media capturing games and turning them around for television broadcasts. After working in the sports world, Jimmy found himself in the upbringing of High Definition Video Walkthroughs for Real Estate companies. Using a gimbal to show off a property in HD for client's websites was a new and exciting aspect to online digital content. While capturing these HD walkthroughs, Jimmy was also involved with wide angle Real Estate photography. From exterior to interior.

Jimmy's next path took him to the railroad where he planned, shot and edited stories for BNSF Railway. Just like his last ex[erience, Jimmy also captured photos for the railroad which consisted of posed photography to natural. This consisted of traveling the country and working in a variety of climates.

After his experience on the railroad, Jimmy started his career in Digital Marketing. Creating a wide assortment of content for local business to show on social media and their websites.

More about James P....

What do you love about your job?

I tell people all the time, that I get to play with toys. Cameras are my toys and they bring huge joy to me. Any time I can see something in my head and create it for other's to see, that's when I know I'm doing what I should do.

Photography offers such a wide array of creativity, I just had to be a part of it. To me, it's never perfect. There's always techniques and new ideas to explore and that's why I still to this day, feel giddy over photography.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

For video I've done some fun sports promos. My approach with these shoots are to ensure that those participating will look good and that they'll be motivated once they see the final product. I like to make my video projects as easy on the subject/client as I possibly can. I want them to remember how easy and effective their experience was when working with me.

For photo I recently did a Star Wars cosplay shoot and it was so fun for me and them. I rented a studio and didn't really restrain them from doing what they do. They're the experts on the look of the character and I'm simply there to capture and edit. They ended up loving the final product and thoroughly enjoyed their experience with me.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

The only award I'm proud of is the one I see when a client is ecstatic about their content.

A fun fact about this photographer

I'm part of the Instagram Disney community where we share and engage about all things Disney and especially park photography.
