More about Jay H....

What do you love about your job?

I love photographing, plain and simple. Using different cameras, both film and digital, and connecting with new people are two of my favorite things. My job lets me combine these two passions on my own schedule -- nothing is better!

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I've done many solo portrait shoots in the past. Often, the subject has never been photographed before and is very nervous. It takes a lot of trust to allow me to photograph them in that vulnerable moment, and I work to build a connection as we photograph to make the best images possible and keep it effortless for the subject.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

Honorable Mention, Silver Eye Center for Photography Fellowship 18

A fun fact about this photographer
