I love the poignancy of the frozen moment and the beauty of light. There are endless opportunities for creativity and there is always more to learn. I love that the photographers life means no two days are the same, I am always meeting and working with interesting individuals and am so honoured to be chosen to capture some of the most intimate and important moments of peoples lives.
I enjoy documentary photography, capturing authentic moments as they unfold and telling stories with images. I was recently commissioned to cover a performance at a theatre and was able to spend time in rehearsal and backstage with the artists before the show. I'm in awe of the fierce vulnerability of performers and those moments before going on stage are ones of intense presence. Shoots where I have the opportunity to connect to the subjects and be a part of the process are definitely the most rewarding for me.
