More about John G....

What do you love about your job?

Photography to me is a unique combination of vision, technique, feeling, luck, and perhaps most importantly, interaction with people/your subject. There's a tremendous excitement I get when I've positioned myself into the right place, and press the shutter at the right time, to capture a moment. And when a client tells me how happy they are with the photos I've taken, I know I've succeeded in creating something special for them.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I enjoy shooting portraits/headshots, and events/weddings the most. There's a 'people' aspect to photography that I love. Shooting portraits and headshots allows me to work with my subject and help them bring their personality and inner life out. I love shooting events because every event has a story to it, and it's an opportunity to capture the story as it unfolds. In particular, weddings have so much drama and emotion to them that they're an absolute joy to shoot.
