Karen Peltier Riggert is a photographer with a variety of professional experiences who 'aims' to exceed the expectations of her clients. She has brought smiles to the faces of high school seniors, the parents of sweet children, the client whose house sells quickly, or the owner of the building who..."hasn't seen that unique perspective before." Karen works in a relaxed, unhurried manner, and provides portfolios that are of a full range of image selections. Always looking to improve her technique, Karen completed the NY Institute of Photography program, and has completed a number of Scott Kelby/Kelby One training sessions. Camera in hand, looking for that next rewarding image, is something Karen Peltier Riggert thrives on.
What I love about being a photographer, is looking at the realm of possibilities while planning the photo sessions, and then being both surprised and pleased by the unexpected and unplanned results that go above and beyond the original goal.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have covered a number of family events, from a 60th wedding anniversary, to an 80th birthday, to a bat mitzvah, to a family reunion. I try to make them special by capturing the smiles of the honorees, the family members, and the guests, but I also try to capture the activities in a colorful manner. If there is a cake, flowers, candles, dancing, decorations, or games, I try to bring them to life with color, lighting, and natural behaviors over poses.
