Katie Brittle has been capturing special moments ever since she had her first polaroid camera. She has always had a special interest in telling stories of traveling, meeting new people, finding new places, and trying new foods! Currently, Katie's main focus has been real estate, architecture and landscape, but has been venturing into other photography avenues such as stylized portraits, travel, and product photography. Thinking that working as a photographer was just a pipe dream for the longest time, Katie decided to take the plunge 2 years ago to work professionally as a photographer and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Photography isn't just about capturing the moment, it's capturing the soul, the feelings, and transferring those feelings to the person gazing into the photos.
I love the feeling of looking at a photo and prompting emotion from the audience. It is one thing to take a pretty photo, it is another to watch someone breathe, "Wowww" softly as they look intently at your artwork.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I recently did a product shoot for a diaper bag. The company wanted typical nice looking photos of the product. I thought I would spice it up a bit by using one of my friend's toddler's to carry around the bag, and play with the bag, and walk around outside in nature with the bag sitting in the foreground to show the versatility of the bag. The bag is not just a diaper bag, it allows you to live your life fully with your kids. And that is exactly what the photos conveyed.
