Keith C.

Keith Conrey is an experienced food and real estate photographer serving the Greater Philadelphia region. He has photographed food in over 1000 restaurants in Philadelphia, the Lehigh Valley, and across the region. His experience also includes hundreds of residential real estate shoots from Philadelphia to the Poconos. Largely self taught, Keith has nurtured a passion for photography since he first stepped foot into his high school darkroom. He has never been without his camera and has a special love of preserving the seemingly still images of life, whether it be landscapes or food or architecture, it is the potential of the still scene that stirs his imagination. With his image he seeks to plant a question in the viewer's mind which simply asks, "What if I were there?"

More about Keith C....

What do you love about your job?

I love the people that I meet daily. They all have a hope that I am there to nurture. Many are small business owners, oftentimes immigrants, hoping for a piece of the American dream in a restaurant venture. Other are homeowners seeking to sell (or rent) a piece of their dream in furtherance of a new one. In either case I am someone whom they hope will do my best to show them at their best. It is a trust that I take seriously. I don't look good unless they do.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I shoot food and real estate regularly. The best I can do to make my food shoots special is to treat each and every one like it is a 5 star restaurant, even if it's a greasy take out in a gritty storefront. Each and every cook and chef shares a pride in their work. Food is a connection we all share and I strive to make every shoot look as mouth watering as the next, regardless of the menu prices or atmosphere.
With my real estate shoots my job is to help the viewer imagine themselves at home in the space. In order to do this effectively, I have to see myself at home in the space. Once I've done that, it is much easier to see the perspectives that most clearly showcase an inviting atmosphere.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I don't submit myself for awards. I just take good pictures.

A fun fact about this photographer

I grew up in the family business building concrete swimming pools.
