More about Kerstin K....
What do you love about your job?
What I love most about being a photographer is being privy to witness peoples lives, most often at the rawest, and utilising my intuition to capture the moments that count. Parents soaking in their children's love during a family portrait session. Children at play, innately happy, as they discover the world around them. A celebration of friends and family that has everyone enveloped in gratitude during the speech. Tear jerking wedding ceremonies where love is bursting at the seams. A woman bearing down in all her glory to bring her new life into this world. Every moment equally honest, every occasion an equal privilege to capture. Hidden behind my lens, observing, with the wisdom to capture the moments that count.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have always specialised in children and family, both of which are natural genres for me. Coming from a large family I have a natural affinity with children and adults alike. I like to engage with children in a silly and fun way which inevitably makes for happy relaxed parents. When necessary, I use prompts to help clients relax into their true selves, particularly with couples who can feel awkward displaying their affections in front of the camera. I particularly enjoy prompts that inevitably end in a lot of laughter & intimate affections such as smelling each other, staring into each others eyes, or even a sneaky pinch on the bottom.

A fun fact about this photographer
I am Mum to 4 awesome humans, our favourite things to do together are boating, tubing, snowboarding and playing charades. We live on a very pretty 1.5 acres in the Southern Highlands with a bossy red Rooster, 2 lovely hens and a male & female duck affectionately known as Batman & Cat-girl.
