Kevin Key has been shooting real estate for Airbnb for 8 years and also shoots real estate for Rancho Photos - including both twilight and daytime shoots. Available to do short-notice and weekend shoots. Kevin has many years of experience shooting shooting the Milky Way and star trails in the night skies over the Anza-Borrego Desert, Mount Laguna, and other locations in San Diego County.
I love finding creative angles and compositions. I enjoy driving around to different areas of San Diego County to shoot real estate. I get to see new places, see properties that are big, small, simple, and elaborate. I liking meeting different real estate agents and homeowners. And it's nice to be out and about verses being stuck at a desk all day. I love seeing my work displayed on real estate listings and Airbnb's website.
I've shot real estate, landscapes, the night sky, and sunsets. I generally like to shoot locations that haven't already been shot by tons of people already. When I do shoot popular locations, however, I try to find my own unique compositions and angles to shoot time.
I recently had a timelapse of the recent SpaceX Falcon 9 launch featured on the website for the San Diego Union-Tribune. I have have numerous photos featured on the Explore page on Flickr.
For many years I did software development full-time and photography was mostly a serious hobby. While I shot rentals for Airbnb for the past eight years - it was part-time until 2017 when I got laid off from my last software job. About six months after getting laid-off in 2017, I decided I'd be happier doing photography full-time and made the career switch to photography.
