Kristin has been shooting professionally for five years. She has a BA in Media Arts-Photography from Robert Morris University. She has worked for an event photography magazine, as well as freelance jobs. Kristin has done a number of volunteering to photograph events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She has learned that the best type of shot happens when people are not looking and laughing in the moment.
I love creating moments and memories for people. Looking back and remembering that time of something happy can improve someone's day. I get to bring joy to others from behind my camera and record their stories. Then after showing them their pictures they smile or say "I love it. Can I have a copy?" Photography can be therapeutic because you can make others smile.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done a variety of events. I like photographing people having fun and talking. If they are enjoying themselves, then I am too. My way of making something special for the catered event is by telling people "Make a funny face," or "Do what you normally would."
