Kyle Schenk is an experienced outdoor, event, and lifestyle photographer. He is passionate about capturing candid moments in time. His love for nature is relevant in his work, showing the lifestyle of outdoorsman/outdoorswoman as well as the surrounding areas. With his event photography, he is able to capture the true essence of the event by capturing candid, unposed-true moments at the event. I have always been a self starter and have learned about photography through self teaching and learning from other photographers.

More about Kyle S....

What do you love about your job?

There are so many things to love about my job! For one, I love to meet and work with new people. Not only do I get to capture special moments in their lives, but I also get to learn a thing or two about them. I love working in the field with people as well. On multi-day shoots, I get the opportunity to spend a few days in the field with the individuals I am working with. If I am working on a portrait shoot, I love to see peoples true smiles and authentic self. I can see confidence start to boost while working with individuals! Lastly, sharing the images I captured with the folks I am working with is a true joy!

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have done a variety of shoots, from family portraits to senior portraits or catalog shoots for lifestyle brands. I try to make every shoot as special as possible. Every person or brand I work with is different, so I've learned to "read the room" to make each shoot special for whom I am working with. This could be anything from bringing something special for the individual, to making them the most comfortable they can be! Sometimes being in front of the lens can be intimadtiing, so I do my best to remove the intimiadtion and make the environment as relaxing as possible.
