As a Toronto food photographer and stylist, Lana gets inspired by the variety and the diversity of foods and ingredients available to her. She enjoys working with different cultures and going outside of her comfort zone photographing food that she is less familiar with. In the past she has worked with caterers, restaurateurs, bloggers, business owners, publishers, CPG companies, and other entrepreneurs to bring their visions to life.
Her corporate marketing background allows Lana to understand the business side of the projects she provides her creative skills for. She knows that pictures are worth a thousand words and that every brand strives to communicate in its own unique way. Her style is flexible to accommodate a range of needs from mostly functional to highly creative.
As a food photographer, Lana likes working with natural light and never stops looking for beauty in its most natural form. She does a lot of her work from home photography studio in Leslieville, Toronto but is also highly mobile and goes wherever inspiration takes her.
I love new challenges and feel like as a photographer you can never relax and feel completely comfortable as every new job offers its own set of challenges. Through that I keep getting stimulated so that the creative juices always keep flowing. I also love the freelance experience of having my own business as opposed to working in a corporate environment.
