Photography has the ability to share through imagery an idea, emotion, identity, personality, and more. This is one of the many reasons Lindsey enjoys her work as much as she does. Lindsey has been a professional photographer and educator for eight years since she graduated with her degree from Brooks Institute of Photography. She looks forward to working with people and businesses alike. She enjoys creative collaboration and specializes in content curation to allow businesses to visually communicate their brand and voice. With years of being a photographic educator under her belt, she has had the pleasure of sharing with others why she continues to enjoy this medium of art.
Photography constantly challenges me to see everything brand new; to explore life from every angle and appreciate the light. It is a gratifying feeling when I can hold up a reflection in the form of an image to mirror the places that I've been and allow others to see the truth of just how incredible they are. People amaze me! With all their beautiful ideas, support systems, sense of adventure, and pursuit of dreams... having the opportunity to document and share this life is a job I do with pride.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have worked with a variety of businesses but one of my favorite sessions thus far was working with a holistic practitioner to help her build all new content for a new website in which she was building an online school. We dove into her daily functions, why she loves her practice, what details make up her space, how she hopes to impact others, the color tones that resonate with her work, and more. Not only did I have the joy of getting to know my client well and build a authentic relationship, I also had the honor of documenting the work she does in such an intimate way but rarely has the opportunity to see from an outside perspective. Hearing her have a positive reaction to the final images and say, "I've never seen myself or my business that way", made me beam with pride and gratitude for participating in a part of her work.

A fun fact about this photographer
I still work in a darkroom. People are often like, "What? That still exists?" and I am pleased to say... it sure does. I love working with the tactile nature of analog photography and spend a lot of my free time photographing on film and printing in a darkroom. I'm kind of an old soul that way.
