Matthew Peschio is a very creative photographer, dedicated to the experience and uniqueness of every shoot he does. He started 5 years ago in film and as his love for the camera grew, he started working in photography more and more. He now writes, directs, produces and shoots photography as his main passions. As he puts it, "they're all of the same family, working in the same family business, and that business is 'Story'." He has a goal of telling a unique, and compelling story with his work and loves when he catches that "perfect moment".
There are three things I love most about photography. One, I love meeting and interacting with new people. I believe the best photos come from real, natural, organic moments, which only happen when everyone is comfortable. I love creating a comfortable environment so that my subject can shine as their own creative, authentic self. Two, I love the story of a photograph, the best photos I've seen and taken have always been the ones that feel most alive, and to be responsible for capturing that exact moment is what it's all about. And lastly, I really enjoy the moment right after I am completely finished with a photo. There is a lot of time and energy that go into each and every shoot. Shooting, going through and finding the best of the best, then touching up those I think are best by highlighting and emphasizing the natural beauty that is already there within the photo can be a large process. But then that moment when it is finished and beautiful is one of the most fulfilling moments I experience.
Though I do enjoy shooting cityscapes and objects because finding the intricacies that are hidden gems is a lot of fun, my most enjoyment comes from shoots where I get to collaborate with someone else. Shooting portraits is great because whether we know it or not, every one has a unique style and energy and being able to work and partner with that is fantastic.
No awards at moment, but when I hear from my clients that it was the best photography experience they've ever had means more to me than any award could.
A fun random fact about me, I can jump through my arms. Not quite sure how that would work? Ask me about it when we shoot and I can demonstrate.
