I fell in love with photography the first time I saw an image developing up in a darkroom... Since then, I've tried every facet of photography I could find...weddings, photojournalism, babies, staff photographer at a big commercial studio, etc...
I found my passion in the commercial world...making food pop off the page, creating interesting images from plain products, solving problems on locations and other challenges...

What do you love about your job?

I like solving problems...how to make a plain jar look elegant, how to light an interior... a friend and fellow photographer best described it as; "taking a fantasy view of a plain reality, turning it into a reality to photograph it, so some one can say "what a fantasy..."

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I do my best to make sure everything I shoot is special in some way or another... the challenge is finding that special thing across a wide variety of subjects & assignments...

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I've been fortunate to have received over 45 ADDY awards, local & regional, from the local chapters of the American Advertising Federation, while working with some of the best creatives in the area.
Additionally, I've received my share of awards, thanks & various accolades from charitable org's. and others.

I'm a MAJOR WW 2 history fanatic... basically anything about the period is fair game... although after so many years, I've started to run out of books I want to read...
