After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Art & Design, Natalie created her own freelancing photography business under her own name. Since then, she has worked with and created campaigns and content for brands such as Stolen Recipe Ice Tea, Bondi Lifeguards, Natalija The Label, Grain Designs etc. She has also had the opportunity to be featured in magazines such as 'About Blank', 'Elegant Magazine' and 'Summersite Magazine'. Natalie has an eye to capture the moments which are 'in between', the pure and rare moments of life that need to be recognised and celebrated. Be it in the studio or on your local street, she believes that I produce work at the best of my ability in an environment where I am most comfortable - working with a natural source of light.
I absolutely love the feeling that I get when I know that what I have just shot is going to be unreal. When the light is perfect, when the wind just swept the hair at that exact moment, when the persons face cracked that winning smile at just the right second - I know it and that elevated achievement is just indescribable.
I've done an array of shoots since I started my freelance business. I've worked with a lot of clients from a PR company including Stolen Recipe Ice Tea, Bondi Lifeguards, Simply Raw etc. I've also assisted well known wedding Photographer Tom Psomotragos who gave me the skills and knowledge to go on to shoot my own weddings and engagements. I've had the opportunity to shoot fashion and lifestyle editorials which have been featured in magazines internationally. Before any shoot, I deconstruct it, trying to visualise what the outcome is going to be (which is a combination of what both the client and I visualise) and then it becomes much easier to shoot when you are matching the image of what's going on through the view finder and what's in your head. I make every shoot a fun and exciting experience!
