She specializes in fashion, portrait, and event photography. She has experience in many fields including headshot, portrait, event, family, music and food photography. She loves to travel to shoot on location but also works out of her studio on occasion. Patricia is an open, communicative photographer. Nothing gives her more pleasure than working with her subjects to create beautiful images both can be proud of!
I love having special intimate moments with my subjects. I love figuring out the ways in which people like to portray themselves. Making people feel good about themselves makes me feel good about my work! I am also not someone who likes to sit in an office all day. I like to move around. Freelancing has been a perfect way for me to enjoy so many kinds of experiences. Whether it's a headshot, an event, or a fashion shoot, I am always experiencing something completely new and interacting with so many different kinds of people on a daily basis. And that makes me feel fulfilled!
I have done all kinds of portraits including headshots, family photos, and maternity photos. I like to make my subject feel special by getting to know them and also asking how they wish to be perceived. If they say, 'I want to look successful' or 'I want to look cool,' I do my best to represent them in that way. I also let them take a look at what I'm shooting so they know what they look like. We talk about poses and expressions that can improve their look. It's a very collaborative experience with me.
I have shown my work in a number of contemporary galleries in Atlanta including Murmur, Eyedrum, Gallery 72, Fay Gold Gallery, and Atlanta Photography Group. I have been a panelist for the 2017 REAL Conference (Recognizing, Empowering, and Affirming Latinas) at Emory University. In addition to my freelance photography work, I am currently on the advisory council for the Atlanta Celebrates Photography festival.
I love stand-up comedy. I love photobooks. I love eating and cooking all kinds of food.
