Profit Idowu is an experienced wedding, event, and portrait photographer. Graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2014 with a degree in Business and Marketing, he's leveraged his passion for creative storytelling which can be seen in his photography style and approach. This is expressed in the term (and name for his photography business) "Urbane Aperture." He was published in Rolling Out Magazine earlier this year.
From the warm embrace of a couple in love all the way to the laughter shared over a bond spanning 20-plus years...I feel my life and photography go hand in hand. There's nothing like finishing a shoot then getting into post production. It's the opportunity to continue the chase of producing the best work of my life.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Wedding, event, and portrait.
I make them special by taking a crafted approach to my photography. With each season of life comes transition and lessons taught through triumph from the previous one. I value and work with those unafraid to reflect on and capture what has been learned in each season. I interview each person with the goal to capture—visually—wonderful moments threaded in between and out of our adventure. Everyone has a story waiting to be told in every second that unfolds. Whether it's someone's bae, soon-to-be newlyweds, an established executive, millennial rockstar, non-profit leader, or next top model—I capture life with my clients, together.
