Sam Taylor is a travel photographer based in Phoenix, AZ. She has flown all over the US to photograph weddings, anniversaries, and senior portraits in states such as California, Seattle, Idaho and Michigan. Her busiest type of photography is in weddings and has been shooting for the past 3 years. Product photography has taken wind with Sam Taylor and exposed her to working with brands such as Fossil, Amador Whiskey, Pei Wei and more. One of her biggest passion in photography is being able to work with local small businesses of Phoenix whether it be a startup clothing company, dog sitting company, and many other creatives alike.
I love capturing moments, creating art, and immortalizing a feeling someone had during a set. It is always a new and different experience with every shoot and that's what I love most about being a full-time photographer. I love being able to capture the essence of a couple, madly in love, or the fierce look of a model proud to be representing a small business. Anything and everything keeps me intrigued and motivated in photography.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done anything from product, to portrait photography, weddings and more. I have been known to make my couples or families talk about a favorite, or most cherished memory while on set in order to capture the true essence and emotions of their love. It makes it more intimate when the photos come out! It's just more appealing to me than having someone sit and smile directly at the camera.
Awards, honors, and recognitions received
I have been recognized in Voyage Phoenix Magazine a couple of times. One mention was for being one of Phoenix's top influencers. The article recognized photographers, designers, yoga instructors and other small businesses. Additionally I was in the same magazine solely for photography!
A fun fact about this photographer
I am the lead vocalist in a band called, Blue Delta, on Spotify and iTunes! It started when I was in high school and we've since then been recognized in the Phoenix New Times a few years back for being one of Phoenix's top bands under 21. Then, I was recognized for being a lead female icon and had an article written up on our music.
