Sophie Pearce is an upcoming West Perth Photographer who studied Fine Art and Photography / Illustration Design at Curtin University. She then, very organically shifted into a role in wholesale fashion for 3 years and has returned to photography in 2019. Her interest in photography lies in both the desire to communicate and to create beautiful outcomes that are driven largely by aesthetics.
I love the creative direction and collaboration with brands and clients to turn a vision or new product line into a well executed outcome. I am very interested in still life and product photography. I find the various and subtle ways you can communicate your brand through traditionally 'sterile' or 'plain' imagery, very fascinating. As a creative, I enjoy the experimentation side of photography - with no two projects / clients being the same.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have worked on numerous commercial product / e-commerce shoots. I often over prepare with an attempt to consider the outcome from all perspectives. IE lighting, camera angles, creative direction, casting, makeup, posing, style references etc. This is generally celebrated as helpful in creating an 'on brief' outcome which I am quite proud of.
