Syreeta Turner is creative street fashion and lifestyle photographer, also specializing in concert photos and band portraits. Traveling between New York, other parts of the United States and Japan, Syreeta has shot everything from lookbooks, to bands sold out concerts, Murder mystery parties to fashion events and art gallery openings. From a young age she had a fascination for photos as her grandfather shot for the local news papers and events around Suffolk county in Long Island NY. So, I guess you can say photography runs in this lady's blood.
Being able to capture those special moments, watching peoples eyes as they relive that moment that they thought would only be fixed in their memory for a short while. Being able to hold on to that memory as a physical image, knowing that it shall not fade. Showing the brilliance of a musical artist, or a fashion designers creation is a priceless thing to me. It's like you capture beauty that can be held in your hand, cherished and never forgotten.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
In portraits, being able to pull out a persons personality or their current mood in a photo is a gift i possess, I am told. I make people very comfortable while shooting. I am fun, friendly, patient and adaptable. It can be easy to forget we are 'working' on a shoot, though the result remain professional.
