More about Trevor A....

What do you love about your job?

There are two things that I love most about my job. The first would be, the amount of creative freedom that comes along with being a photographer. I constantly find myself seeking out new ways to capture an image, or, a new way to process an image in Adobe Lightroom, or, Adobe Photoshop. It's something that I cannot get enough of, and something that brings me constant joy.

Secondly, I enjoy meeting new people! I'm an outgoing individual, and anytime I have the opportunity to engage in conversation with another, I take full advantage of it, because everyone has a unique story to tell. There is so much to be learned from one another, and I figure that even if I take only one thing away from a conversation that I have with another person, well, that's one more thing that I didn't have prior to our engagement.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have participated in many different shoots over the years, from Commercial Big-Budget shoots, to family portraits. I must say that on any job, I try to be the most sociable, outgoing, and understanding individual on any shoot, because I can understand the pressure, stress, and awkwardness another may feel during the life of the job. I try to remind others that this is temporal, and that they need to enjoy this opportunity given to them to model, pose, or represent themselves or a major company, because many people are not given this opportunity. They need to make the most of it and have fun! Smile! Laugh! Enjoy life! Because we only have one life, why not live it to the fullest and enjoy it, instead of living in fear of the judgement passed on by others!?

Normally, this encouragement breaks open a new individual, and the rate of growth in both their attitude and self-confidence are staggering and inspirational!

A fun fact about this photographer

I'm moving to Muscle Shoals, Alabama to join the Youth Ministry Team at a church in Decatur, Alabama. An odd choice for some, but an exciting one for myself!
