More about Ziga R....

What do you love about your job?

Since I can remember I've been absolutely obsessed with creative arts. Even in primary school I was always sketching and drawing in my notebooks instead of listening to the lectures. I was always trying to reproduce as realistically as I could the nature that surrounded me. With my first camera acquisition that eventually evolved into love of photography. Finding that perfect perspective, getting the light and composition just right, capturing the moment and sharing it with others is what photography is all about for me. Helping others see the world and it's beauty through my eyes.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

While working as a freelance industrial designer developing a product I was also a lead photographer for all the marketing material.
I also did a couple of shoots for the Alpine Association of Slovenia mostly to be featured in their annual calendars. Whenever I'm doing landscape photography I try to get the sense of the place through distinct subjects in the composition and with the help of remarkable light and weather conditions.
In New Zealand I was collaborating with a glamping company to do some shoots of the events they participated in and created time lapses of setting up and taking down the tents. The goal here was to illustrate how the place was transformed through the whole process of setting up.
These days I do all kinds of different photoshoots with Snappr, be it food, portrait, corporate or real estate photography and with each and every one of them my goal is to represent the subject at it's best.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

Won the competition from Alpine Association of Slovenia to be featured in their annual calendar which lead to future collaborations.

A fun fact about this photographer

First time I was on a plane I was about two years old and while in the air I asked my parents if I could go and play in the backyard with my grandma. Since then I have visited more than 35 countries on 5 different continents.
