To match that passion she also completed her Diploma in Photography at TAFE NSW. Paula is a beginner cook who enjoys the challenges and the search of perfection. Daily, when not on assignment, you will find her at her kitchen developing ideas for her photographs. She sometimes blogs her experiences on her Cook&Click space. Bright colours are her signature but in 2014 she released a series “Food in Monochrome” where she showed ingredients on its raw form in beautiful lighting. Paula loves all aspects of photography and she has worked with major companies on corporate portraits, stock libraries, events, food-related events and others. And to be cliché, she likes to travel and when food, travel and photography meet she is in paradise.

How did you get started with photography

I started my journey with my first camera in my age 19, It was a LOMO toy camera. Then I keep capturing until now.

What do you love about your job?

I love telling stories. They say a picture is worth a thousand words - it’s true. Photography allows me to capture special moments in people’s lives and share their story in a way that is honest, artistic, and unique. There is nothing more satisfying that seeing the smile on my clients’ faces when they go through the photo album for the first time. Their eyes light up as they remember the day of the shoot- a wedding, engagement, birthday, etc. I love that I get to create that moment of joy

What are some of your favorite places in Sydney to take photographs?

My favourite place to shoot in Sydney is in the Surry hills in the afternoon. There’re many cool terrace house and different colours wall. It is really good for portrait and fashion photography. I can play the shadow with model or leaves. I can always get a good shoot there.
